1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to the Unbound Studio website (unb.ink, “the Site”). It explains what information we come into contact with through the Site, how we use and protect it, and what you can do about it. Our own desktop products are covered separately in section 4.
2. What information the Site handles
The Site offers a single sign-in entry point and a contact form. Three kinds of data are involved:
- Access logs. The Site runs on our own servers, which record standard logs such as access time, IP address, request path and browser identifier. These are used only for security and troubleshooting.
- Account information. When you sign in through the Site, authentication is handled by the identity service we run ourselves (sso.unb.ink). The Site only receives the account identifier and email address needed to tell you apart, and it never receives or stores your password.
- What you submit. When you contact us through the form or by email, we receive the name, email address, contact details and message you provide, along with anything else you choose to share. It is stored in our own database and used only to answer your enquiry and continue the conversation.
3. Cookies and local storage
The Site only uses the cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. We set no advertising or third-party analytics cookies and load no third-party ad scripts. You can clear this data in your browser; you will need to sign in again afterwards.
4. Our own products
Unbound Browser and Unbound Link are desktop applications that run locally on your device. Your configuration, environment data and usage records stay on your own computer — we do not receive, upload or retain them.
The products do connect to network addresses you specify (subscription links and update checks, for example). Those connections are configured and triggered by you.
5. Links beyond this site
The Site links to external sites such as our product sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies and data practices, which this policy does not cover. We suggest you read them before use.
6. How we protect information
We keep information only as long as it is needed to provide the service and answer enquiries, and we never sell, rent or share it with unrelated third parties. The Site is served entirely over HTTPS, and both the database and the services run in an environment we own and control.
7. Retention and deletion
Account and contact information is retained until you ask us to delete it. You can write to us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of anything you have submitted, and we will act once your identity has been verified.
8. Updates to this policy
If the Site's functionality changes — for example, if we introduce analytics or a new third-party service — we will update this policy and change the date at the top of the page. Continuing to use the Site means you accept the updated policy.
